Went in with well kids come out sick ones…
Happy Wednesday dear readers I hope you are well. For I am not well and neither are my children. Good news the election is over but they are still rambling on about it so I will spare you my thoughts and rants on these election conversations. I will however rant about my children. We had to have “well” kid checkups with their doctor. This is where once a year you take them in and they weigh them and check them over and make sure they are well. Well two of them turned out to NOT be well. The big S word my friends the ST*** oh and it isn’t stool in case you think that is what it is. Nope strep throat has entered the home. So this means it starts with one and will soon have us all down and out. So far it is just the girls but I can promise you the rest will be hit before long. I am a good mommy (in case you had any doubts) and allowed the wee ones have the Flu Mist instead of the Flu Shots. I know I know I couldn’t be mean. However the girls got shots of antibiotics instead of getting a prescription of pills for 10 days. I am not sure who was harder to give the shots too. My 12 year old daughter gave us a fight but she finally took it in the butt. However my 6 year old we had to hold down to the table so she could get hers. She is 3 ft tall and 80 lbs this wasn’t like when she was one and we could just hold her tightly. So needless to say after waiting 15 minutes, filling out THREE new information sheets, 10 minutes of waiting for strep test to come back and the entire hour fighting with my children and husband over being quiet and stop fighting. I was almost crying. They all had me so upset if I was a drinker I would SOOOO be drunk right now. So go in for a well kid check up to find I have no well kids. What a witch! I wish the doctor could have given me a mind numbing shot of something good but nope heck I didn’t even get a sticker…so I am going to lay down with my NOT well kids and watch a movie….or I am leaving for the Looney bin…..whichever comes first.
